Working Days & Holidays keeps the dates on your monday.com boards on working days. It adds recipes to monday's automations, and a settings view where an admin sets the account's calendar. No formula columns are needed. A question not answered here? Write to support@nebariapps.com; a person answers within two business days.
Use the recipe "Set a date N working days from another date" in a board's automations. Pick the Date column to start from, the Date column to set, and how many working days: a number from 0 to 365, or a Numbers column of the item. Direction says after or before. Only working days on your account's calendar are counted, so weekends, holidays and your own days off are skipped.
Use "Shift a date off a non-working day". Pick the Date column, or every Date column on the board, and the direction to move: forward to the next working day (the default), backward to the one before, or to the nearest, with a rule for a tie. A date already on a working day is left alone.
If a person moves a date back onto a day off after the app moved it, the app keeps their date by default and lists it in the board's Date conflicts view. An admin can choose "Always apply the calendar (company policy)" in the settings instead.
Both. An admin picks the account's holidays in the app's settings: a country or region, whose public holidays come from an open holiday dataset and are loaded for each new year. Every recipe uses the account's calendar.
In the app's settings, under "Your own days off", add each day with its date and a name, such as "Company offsite". These days count as days off in every recipe, alongside the public holidays. Adding your own days needs a paid plan; the settings name it.
Yes. In the settings, an admin chooses the account's days off each week: Saturday and Sunday by default, or any others, such as Friday and Saturday, or Sunday alone for a six-day week.
Use "Build a Timeline from two Date columns". Pick the start and end Date columns and the Timeline to set. Three rules cover the awkward cases, each with a default you can change:
Yes. Add "Set two Date columns from a Timeline" as well: when the Timeline changes, the two Date columns are set to its first and last day. With both recipes on a board, a change on either side updates the other, and they never loop, because the app never writes a value that is already there.
Use "Write the working-day count to a Numbers column". Count between two Date columns or inside a Timeline. Inclusive counting, the default, counts the first and last day when they are working days; exclusive counts only the days between them.
Use the trigger "When a date is N working days away". Pick the Date column, N from 0 to 365, and before or after. Then add any action monday offers, such as a notification or a status change. The app checks once a day, at the hour an admin sets in the settings, in the account's time zone.
Yes, for two recipes: "Set a subitem's date N working days from another of its dates" and "Shift a subitem's date off a non-working day". Each runs on the subitem the automation names. A parent's column that monday rolls up from its subitems is left to monday: the app doesn't write it on a parent. The trigger "When a date is N working days away" works on a subitem's Date column too. Keeping a subitem's Timeline and dates in step is not in this version.
Not through this app. It doesn't change monday's Dependency columns or how dependent items move. Within one item, it can keep one date a set number of working days from another, such as an end date 5 working days after the start.
No. The app reads each date as the day it is in the time zone of the person whose change started the recipe. A date with no time stays a plain date, and it shows as the same day everywhere. A date with a time keeps its time when the app moves it. The daily reminder check runs in the account's time zone, which an admin sets in the settings.
No. The app works on dates, not on people's workload, and it doesn't send summaries. Its trigger, "When a date is N working days away", fires for each item and can start monday's own notification for it.
Pick a Text column in the "Write the reason to" field of "Shift a date off a non-working day", "Set a date N working days from another date" or "Write the working-day count to a Numbers column". Each time the recipe changes the item, it writes there, in one sentence, what it changed and why, such as the holiday a date was moved off.
